Cabeza was created by two brothers, film director Ariel and musician David, to create music videos for the later’s musical project: Sie7e, which went on to win a Latin Grammy and was signed by Warner Music Latina.

The name of the company can be translated as head in Spanish, and refers to the idea of different creative team members coming together as one mind.

Producciones Cabeza has been rendering services to Hollywood Film and TV productions in Puerto Rico for over 15 years, either as a vendor or as the local producer, helping Studios and US Production Companies benefit from the highest tax incentives of any other US territory.

Producciones Cabeza is now becoming a local creative power house, working for clients like Sony Crackle, Telemundo or Netflix. The company is uniquely qualified to work with the best local talent in developing formats both in Spanish and English language, for US Hispanic market and Latin America.

Remaining lean in size as a production company, the focus has been to cultivate a network of talent around Cabeza which has grown over the years and accumulated mentions and awards, including Emmys to best screenplay and direction for Telemundo’s scripted series Incógnita.

Some of the productions our team members have been involved on in one or another capacity include: The Oath, Incógnita, StartUp, Homeland, 22 Jump Street, Captain America: Civil War, 200 Cartas (featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda), Royal Pains, among others.

Producciones Cabeza counts with in-house Editing & Finishing facilities, as well as a partnership with top aerial drone imaging team Drone Dogs.

Over the years, Producciones Cabeza has received funding from the Puerto Rico Film Commission for development and production of different feature/tv projects.
